Andrew J. Smyth

Board Member

Andrew Smyth has been a parishioner at Trinity on the Green since 2007. He served on the Vestry at Trinity from 2017-2020 and has been involved in Trinity’s Pastoral Care Committee, Healing Prayer Ministry, Altar Guild, Ushers, and Clean the Green initiative. He was overjoyed to be invited to serve on the ECY Board of Governors in 2020 and looks forward to working with student leaders dedicated to Christian faith and mission at Yale and throughout New Haven. Andrew is Professor and Chair of the English Department at Southern Connecticut State University. His research and teaching interests include Early Modern British Literature, particularly the works of Edmund Spenser; Anglo-Irish Studies; Animal Studies; and Secondary English Education. He has taught in Kenya, China, and Egypt, along with onducting research in England and Ireland.
