At ECY we welcome you as you are: questioning, hoping, doubting, celebrating, struggling, or merely harboring a curiosity about your faith. We are a diverse community of students united simply by an openness to God and a desire to know God more deeply. In our excessively busy lives, we all seek space where we can more easily connect with God. ECY invites all Yale students into this space, whether it is found at our Sunday service and dinner, in one-on-one conversation with me or one of our student leaders, on retreat, as a member of our congregational council, or in one of our small groups. It takes courage to explore your faith and courage to share it. We wholeheartedly welcome you into this community of nonjudgmental, loving people, and we are grateful for the opportunity to join you as companions on the journey.

Loving God, we thank you for loving us so fiercely, so steadfastly, and so completely. We ask you to fill our hearts with the knowledge of your love so that our wounds may be healed and our eyes may see the world as you see it. Give to us a hope that lights the way during our darkest hours and lends us the courage to be vessels of your love. Grant us wise and discerning hearts that we may be your hands in the world and fill us with the firm belief that with you all things are possible. May our lives be a testimony to the miracle of your grace.
