The Rev. Kristin P. Wickersham was born and raised in Southeast Asia to an American diplomatic family. The returned to the U.S. when she was ten years old and settled in McLean, Virginia. She is a 13th generation Virginian. She is a graduate of Goucher College with a degree in Biochemistry. She spent several years working as an Environmental Chemist for the U.S. EPA before retiring to raise her children. Kristin began discerning a call to the priesthood in 1998, and in 2013 began the formal discernment process. Kristin received her M.Div. from Union Theological Seminary in Virginia and also holds a post-graduate diploma in Anglican Studies from Virginia Theological Seminary. On September 7, 2019 she was ordained to the Sacred Order of Priests by the Rt. Rev. Susan Goff of Virginia. She is currently serving the Church of the Holy Comforter on Monument Avenue in Richmond. Kristin has been married to her husband Mark since 1992. They met at College Student Sunday at their families church. They have two daughters. Their oldest, Jocelyn, is a Yale alumna (ES 2019) and was active in ECY. Their youngest, Diana, is a freshman at Bowdoin College. Kristin has a black belt in TaeKwonDo, owns two miniature poodles, reads poetry, and loves to hike.
