Hi, my name is Becca Bland! I am starting my second year as a dual degree student between Yale Divinity School and Yale Forestry School. I grew up in the woods of North Carolina running around outside, as well as running around in Episcopal churches, and since I was young those have been the two strongest interests in my life and where I’ve felt the most at home. To me there is something so important to knowing your surroundings and history — and both the forest and the church provide a place to ponder that. I like to think a lot about communities, creative church, and tree identification. I spent a year in the Bay Area with the Episcopal Service Corps and I have returned every summer for the last three years to work at a Girl Scout camp in Northern California where I take middle and high schoolers on backpacking trips. I look forward to talking with you!
